RUD presents 3D lifting points configurator.
- The world’s first lifting point configurator with animations and 3D visualisation
- Addition to the lifting means configurator for chain suspensions
- Application-orientated search matrix and user guide
RUD is completing its range of digital tools for the application-related composition of lifting solutions: in addition to the proven lifting means configurator, a configurator for lifting points is now also available. It can be used to quickly and easily find the right lifting points for individual customer chain suspensions and even visualise them in 3D.
The browser-based lifting point configurator has a detailed selection mask. It is clearly structured into a filter and input area as well as a preview matrix, so that suitable lifting points for chain suspensions and loads can be determined in a few steps. At the beginning, the user can specify the desired WLL, the number of strands and the lifting method. Then they can consider criteria such as the desired type of fastening (boltable; weldable), the intended contact surface and, if necessary, the type and size of the thread. It is also possible to specify whether the lifting point complies with certain standards (e.g. ASME) and is to be approved for defined application areas (e.g. offshore). Additional criteria such as material characteristics (e.g. INOX or duplex steel, intended temperature range) can also be selected or a filter applied according to a certain design.
Once all the relevant information is entered, the configurator ultimately compiles a selection of suitable lifting points, including all technical data and additional information as well as a 3D visualisation. In addition to a static display, this also offers the option of displaying the functions of the component in 3D animation – for example, rotatable with a moving lift bail.
Download data sheet and make an enquiry
Once the user has registered and logged in, they can also add the lifting point they have selected to a watchlist, download a data sheet and make a direct enquiry to RUD. Alternatively, users can contact a specialist dealer of their choice with the established production selection or use it to make the internal ordering process easier.
“With our configurators, we provide users with a powerful tool to configure the appropriate chain suspension with the appropriate lifting points for each application scenario. It couldn't be easier or more practical,” explains Fabian Bihlmaier, Product Manager for Sling and Lashing Systems at RUD.
Both configurators are available for free at www.lifting-planner.com. Users who are already registered for the lifting means configurator can also use their accounts for the new configurator without any problem, but the application can also be used with a limited range of functions without registration.
